About Emily Harvey
With over 30 years of experience as a physiotherapist, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of patients across both the NHS and private sector, supporting recovery from injury, surgery, and complex conditions.
My clinical background is rooted in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy, where I developed a strong foundation in rehabilitation, movement, and functional recovery. Over time, I became increasingly interested in patients who were experiencing dizziness, imbalance, and symptoms that did not always respond to traditional approaches.
This led me to specialise in vestibular rehabilitation.
Over the past decade, I have worked extensively with patients experiencing conditions such as BPPV, Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD), vestibular migraine, and sensory integration difficulties. These conditions can have a profound impact on confidence, independence, and quality of life, and often require a highly individualised and thoughtful approach to treatment.
I believe strongly that rehabilitation should take place in the environment that is most meaningful to the patient. For many individuals—particularly those experiencing dizziness or mobility challenges—this is not a clinic or hospital setting, but their own home. Delivering physiotherapy in the community allows treatment to be tailored in a practical, functional, and patient-centred way, helping to build confidence and restore independence in real-life situations.
I work closely with consultants and healthcare professionals across Essex, ensuring a collaborative approach to patient care.
My aim is always to provide clear, supportive, and effective rehabilitation, helping each patient to achieve their goals and regain confidence in their movement and daily life.
